Biography

Not anewcomer

Jutta van den Berg comes from a musically accomplished family. Music has been her life since childhood. Her father, the singer Werner Engelhardt, collaborated with the composer Karlheinz Stockhausen.

After completing her studies (German Studies, English Studies, and Music Education) in Cologne, she initially dedicated herself to her career as a singer. She gained international popularity with the vocal quartet “Headline”, which she co-founded.

Numerous TV appearances and live performances — both at home and abroad — followed, as well as various releases, including collaborations with the WDR Big Band, Paul Kuhn, Peter Herbolzheimer, and Horst Jankowski; a TV appearance on Hans-Joachim Kulenkampff’s show “EWG — Einer wird gewinnen”; and winning the “Goldene Europa” award.

For the past 20 years, she has worked as a music educator and vocal coach — for instance, with various production companies — and provides singing and piano lessons. Her students include actors, professional singers, music students, and anyone who enjoys music.
